During the Summer Term, Year 5 pupils will be studying the project ‘Allotment’.

During this project, the pupils will visit a local supermarket and also Parc y Bocs in Kidwelly to develop their knowledge and understanding.

The pupils will build their own allotment in the school grounds, growing a small variety of fruit, vegetables and herbs.  The pupils will develop their entrepreneurial skills by selling their produce at the end of term and hopefully making a profit.

The project will enable the pupils to develop a variety of literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
