During the first half of the summer term FP 2 will be studying:

Wriggle and Crawl

Children will go on a minibeast hunt and set up a minibeast laboratory. They will learn about worms, bees and butterflies and about different minibeast life-cycles. Children will make their own wormery, discover how important worms are and learn how bees make honey. They will also observe ladybirds hatching .Children will make food chains to show who eats who.


P.E. will take place on a Wednesday morning. Children are expected to change into their P.E. kit before the lesson and not to arrive in school wearing it.


Homework will be distributed on a Friday and is expected to be returned to school by Monday morning. Spelling lists and tables are expected to be to be learnt by the following Friday.


Reading should be undertaken on a daily basis. Your child has been allocated a ‘reading day’ so please ensure that reading books and reading record books are returned on this day.


Children will visit the library on a Wednesday afternoon so please ensure that books are returned on a weekly basis.
