Remembrance Day 11th November 2020

Today we secured our understanding of why we have a day for Remembrance. We reflected on what we already know about Remembrance Day and then identified things we wanted to find out more about. We used the Internet as a tool for researching and located answers to our questions.

Rememberance Day - Today we remembered those who fought and still fight to save our country. WE completed research and reflected on what we had learnt. We worked hard on our display to show our respect.

We listened to the poem 'In Flanders Fields' and found out about the significance of the poppy for Remembrance Day. We listened to stories about Remembrance Day and learned how we remember those who have fought for our country. 

We decorated medals for the brave soldiers and coloured poppy pictures to make our own poppies to wear. 

We enjoyed working on the iPads to create a poppy picture using JiT Paint. You can take a look at our work below;
